Youdao, an online education subsidiary of Chinese game giant NetEase, is planning to spin off its after-school tutoring business, the company announced Thursday. Youdao expects to complete the sale by the end of this year. The tutoring unit comprised about a quarter of Youdao’s total revenue in the second quarter of this year, according to Q2 financial results.
