Federal and state governments in India may switch to electric vehicles (EVs) by 2024, Mint reported citing unidentified sources.
With prices of EVs likely to be at par with internal combustion engine-powered vehicles by 2025, the Narendra Modi administration’s plan may fast-track India’s aim of achieving net-zero emission by 2070.
