China Gaming Licences to Resume: 21stC Business Herald

 

China is likely to start issuing online video game licences again in the coming weeks, following a four-month suspension, 21st Century Business Herald reported, sending gaming stocks soaring.

The National Press and Publication Administration will resume issuing new licences for video games by the end of November, the paper said, citing unnamed sources.

Development of a series of supervisory policies related to the protection of minors in online games might be the main reason for the delay in resuming the distribution of licences.
