China’s e-commerce major JD is making further reductions in the operations of Jingxi, its community group buy unit, following a 10% to 15% layoff in March. Jingxi will only keep a presence in Beijing and Zhengzhou, withdrawing from all other cities in China. In March, the unit ended operations in Sichuan province and Hebei province, leaving only Beijing, Henan (the province where Zhengzhou is the capital city), Hubei, and Shandong as locations where it was still active.
