Blizzard and NetEase’s Diablo Immortal hits $100 million in overseas revenue

Diablo Immortal, a mobile gaming title introduced by Blizzard and NetEase, amassed $100 million in overseas revenue between its official launch in June and the end of July, according to new data from Sensor Tower. The figures include sales via Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store, making Diablo Immortal the fourth most profitable Chinese mobile title overseas in July. Sensor Tower’s report shows that the game’s main revenue-driving territories were the US and Korea, accounting for 38% and 14.8%, respectively. Chinese gaming firms like NetEase and Tencent tend to work with foreign developers to bring popular AAA-level titles to mobile platforms. Tencent has also worked with Ubisoft to introduce Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 to mobile platforms. [Sensor Tower, in Chinese]
