MissFresh customer complaints prompt Beijing Consumer Association disciplinary meeting

On Aug. 4, Beijing Consumer Association, an organization approved by the Beijing municipal government, met with MissFresh, the online grocery company facing a severe cash crunch, according to a Tuesday post by the Association. The Association said it has recently received numerous complaints from consumers about the firm. In late July, MissFresh reportedly stopped its key business offering of on-demand grocery delivery and laid off most of its employees. The Association asked MissFresh to properly handle the complaints, communicate better with the Association, and provide written rectification plans to the Association within three working days.
