Oriental Selection, a livestreaming brand created by New Oriental’s exam prep and tutoring company Koolearn, has recently launched a new app for e-commerce. The brand’s shopping livestreams have seen great success on ByteDance’s Douyin since June. Created for iOS devices, the Oriental Selection app currently has 4.6 stars and ranks 33rd in the shopping section of Apple’s App Store. The variety of goods on the Oriental Selection app is comparable to its offering on Douyin Mall and includes snacks, fresh food, and other agricultural products, with slight variations in price depending on the item.
