ByteDance subsidiary Pico announced official brand upgrades on September 5, including a new brand logo of changing Pico to “PICO” and the design of “PICO Sans,” the company’s font for VR system applications. According to Pico, it’s committed to developing better VR products for global consumers, as well as striving to become the leading world-class XR platform in the future. Since the Chinese virtual reality startup was acquired by ByteDance last August, ByteDance created an XR business line based on Pico’s original VR business. Meanwhile, Pico has also set up offices in Europe, Japan, South Korea, and other foreign regions. The new generation of “Pico 4 all-in-one VR headset” will reportedly be released globally in September or October. [Pico, in Chinese]
