Chinese auto giant Geely to launch phones with satellite feature after acquiring Meizu

Xingji Technology, a firm owned by Chinese auto giant Geely, announced on Monday that it will release new phones with low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity after acquiring Chinese phone producer Meizu. According to Xingji, the device will launch as soon as 2023 and will be the world’s first affordable phone with LEO connectivity.
