Great Wall Motor said on Wednesday that its monthly sales hit a record high of more than 4,000 cars in September in Australia and New Zealand, a 101% rise from a year ago. That figure also brings the Chinese automaker’s total sales for this year to 21,500 vehicles as of September in the region. Australia and New Zealand recorded overall sales of 811,130 and 90,303 vehicles during this period, respectively. Toyota dominated the markets with a nearly 20% share in September, while Tesla was the top-selling EV maker with shares of 7% and 10% in Australia and New Zealand, respectively, official figures showed.
