Chen Xi, head of ByteDance-owned news aggregation app Jinri Toutiao, will leave his current position and lead product and data science for TikTok’s e-commerce department, Chinese media outlet LatePost reported on Tuesday. TikTok is struggling to replicate its model of commercial success beyond China.
