The chipset is usually launched in the fourth quarter every year; last year, it was released on Nov. 16. The latest test results of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on Geekbench, a popular cross-platform utility for benchmarking the performance of central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs), show that power consumption has been reduced by 20% compared to the previous generation.
