A picture of what Zeekr’s fourth production model might look like has leaked online ahead of its expected debut later this year, showing a midsize sedan with roof-mounted lidar sensors used to navigate with an assisted driving program. Geely’s premium electric vehicle brand is expected to ship the fastback sedan with CATL’s high-density Qilin batteries in the second half of the year, competing against Tesla’s Model 3 and BYD’s popular Seal with a starting price of around RMB 200,000 ($28,980). The Chinese automaker on March 21 revealed its plan to introduce an electric sedan under the Zeekr brand, in addition to the 001 hatchback, 009 van, and the X compact crossover that has been taking pre-orders since April 12.
