China issues 86 domestic game licenses for May

The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA), China’s gaming regulator, announced 86 new licenses for domestic games on Monday. The most notable game titles to be approved include multiplayer first-person shooter game Ace Force 2 from Tencent, role-playing game Forever Seven Days from NetEase, action role-playing game Crystal of Atlam from ByteDance-owned developer Nuverse, sci-fi strategy game Eruthyll from Bilibili, and fantasy role-playing game Dislyte from Lilith Games. So far this year, 433 domestic game licenses have been issued, which is just short of the 468 games that were approved for the whole of 2022.
