Huawei’s Mate XT, the Chinese tech giant’s upcoming triple-fold smartphone, has seen pre-orders exceed two million units on the company’s official online retail platform, Vmall, since bookings began on Sep. 7. Despite the lack of pricing details, domestic consumer enthusiasm has driven a surge in reservations. Pre-orders on other online sales channels, such as http://JD.comJD.com> and Alibaba’s Tmall, are also open for customers, though specific figures for these platforms are not yet available. Last Monday, Huawei announced that it would launch its triple-foldable phone on Sep. 10, the same day (Beijing time) as Apple’s iPhone 16 series launch. [TechNode reporting]
