Alibaba Cloud’s Wuying team is developing QwenBook, an AI device shaped more like a tablet and designed around native agent functions, DoNews, citing LatePost, reported. The team is defining the product and hardware in-house while bringing Wuying’s cloud-computer and device-cloud capabilities into the project.
The early-stage prototype is aimed at office work and currently connects to Qwen3.8-Max and Qwen3.8-Flash. Planned system apps include meeting transcription, a wiki, smart folders, email, MyNote and MyZone; the team is also working with Kingsoft to integrate WPS.
Alibaba plans to show a demonstration version at the Yunqi Conference, but the report says the full product may not arrive until late 2026 or early 2027. [DoNews, in Chinese]
