Foxconn showcased two new electric vehicle models on Tuesday but said that it currently has no plans to introduce them to the market itself, as Apple’s manufacturing partner looks to demonstrate its car-making capabilities to potential big industry clients. The Model B electric crossover has an advertised range of 450 kilometers (280 miles) on a single charge, while the Model V pickup truck, which gets up to 420 kilometers of range, will be built in its factories in Taiwan, Thailand, and the US. The manufacturer reportedly has no intention of selling vehicles under its own brand. Last year, Foxconn introduced the Model C, which has since been adopted as the Luxgen n7 in partnership with Taiwanese automaker Yulon Group. [Bloomberg]
