Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said on Monday its in-house developed 3-nanometre flagship chip, the Xuanjie O1, has surpassed one million shipments, as the Chinese tech firm pushes deeper into advanced semiconductor design. Lei made the announcement at an investor day event, adding that Xiaomi has become the fourth company globally capable of independently developing high-end smartphone system-on-chips.
Launched in May 2025, the chip has been used in three devices, including the Xiaomi 15S Pro, Pad 7 Ultra and 7S Pro. The Xuanjie chip series will be extended to Xiaomi’s electric vehicles and other smart devices, with plans for annual upgrades, according to Lei. [TechNode Reporting]
