xAI has posted a Chinese AI Tutor position on the recruitment platform Greenhouse as part of its efforts to improve the Chinese-language capabilities of its flagship large language model, Grok. The role focuses on training Grok to better understand Chinese. Candidates are expected to be proficient in standard Mandarin and capable of handling regional dialects as well as mixed Chinese-English expressions. Applicants must possess native-level Chinese proficiency, English skills at B2 level or above, and strong listening and transcription abilities.
The position is open to candidates globally and supports remote work. Full-time, part-time, and contractor arrangements are available. Contractors are not required to work fixed hours and need only commit at least 10 hours per week.
For US-based hires, the hourly pay ranges from $35 to $45, while compensation for international candidates will be determined separately.
