Lockdown at Shanghai Disneyland After Guest With Covid: WSJ

 

More than 30,000 visitors to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park were kept within the park’s gates on Sunday and forced to undergo Covid-19 testing after a customer tested positive for the virus, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

The Disneyland visitors became the latest Chinese residents to experience life under a “zero tolerance” policy for the virus, a move that underscores China’s eradication efforts, the newspaper said.

Authorities in China have taken strict measures to limit the spread of coronavirus in the country, despite drawing flak from business groups and a vaccination rate of nearly 80%.
