A company backed by Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou sold 10,000 copies of its newly-launched digital avatars “Phanta Bears” on New Year’s Day, according to decentralized entertainment platform Ezek, which hosted the sale. Designed by Chou’s fashion brand Phantaci, the digital bears were trading at 0.4 ETH on Monday, up from the insurance price of 0.26 ETH, or about $1,000.
