Nio has set a goal of building 4,000 battery swap stations globally by 2025, with “at least several hundred” of them being deployed in European countries, president Qin Lihong told reporters at its annual Nio Power Day event on Wednesday. This is in line with the company’s current plan to enter Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden this year and establish a presence in 25 countries worldwide by 2025. The automaker also said that it has built a network of 1,011 swap stations in China as of Wednesday, and that number will increase to over 3,000 in the next three years. [Nio release, in Chinese]
