Wi-Fi chip and MCU maker TaiXin Semiconductor secures RMB 100 million in Series B

Chinese Wi-Fi chip and MCU maker TaiXin Semiconductor secured over RMB 100 million ($13.95 million) in Series B recently, as Chinese semiconductor consultancy ijiwei revealed on Tuesday. FG Venture and Gree-backed Hengqin Financial Investment led in this round. The funding will be used to accelerate the firm’s development of wireless communication chips, smart control units, and integrated products. Founded in 2016 in Zhuhai, TaiXin Semiconductor provides wireless chips and MCU for artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) devices.
