Nio has called on customers who want to buy smartphones within the next year to wait for its own launch, as the electric vehicle company “makes steady progress” venturing into the country’s smartphone market, local media outlet reported on Nov. 27, citing chief executive William Li. Li made the comments at the opening ceremony of a showroom in the southern city of Dongguan.
